GREEN BUILDING

Lytton Springs Winery: At the time of its construction, Lytton Springs Winery was the largest straw bale building in the world. Earth-based plaster and a massive photovoltaic system are but two of the “green” features of the award winning building.

10 Maple: When completed, 10 Maple will be Sonoma's first LEED awarded commercial building, featuring natural lighting, photovoltaic systems, sustainable building materials, Kone elevators and an advanced V.R.V. climate control system.

Molofsky Builders Incorporated Headquarters: One of the green elements of our new office building is the horizontal siding on its façade which is reclaimed fir from old vinegar tanks. Working with Sunfirst, from San Rafael, MBI installed a 5.5 KW Photovoltaic system on the roof of our Glen Ellen office. In the summer months we will be “selling” electricity back into the grid. This is an energy efficient and economical way for any business to operate.
